The Village Baking Company started its bakery at the beginning of lockdown in a garage in Rode, setting out to bring real bread and other delectable bakes to the people of Rode and beyond.
Now in their third version they’re back in the heart of the village, serving the community directly once more.
The focus as ever is sustainability, provenance and quality of raw ingredients. That means stoneground, regenerative flour, organic dairy, seasonal fruit and vegetables – all sourced from as locally as possible. Above all it’s about making delicious food.
