Rockabella Mill

The entry for Rockabella House has an extract from Jonathan Noad’s will stating that he bequeathed his house and workshops to his son Jonathan jnr., but he does not name the house as Rockbella. However there is evidence to support this on the ledger stone over the vault of the Rose family in the Baptist Chapel graveyard. Although now flaking away, the majority of the text is legible (the letters in red italics have been added where the text on the gravestone is missing):
