The Link is a monthly parish newsletter, published by Hardington Vale Parochial Church Council (PCC). It covers the villages of Rode, Woolverton, Tellisford and Farleigh Hungerford. Generally it is delivered at the end of every month. Copies can be received via subscription, or bought from the Post Office in Rode.
It contains news of upcoming events in the Parish, reports from the various community groups, a letter from the clergy, a directory of useful numbers, nature notes and activities, and the minutes of the Parish Council. The Link also contains adverts from local businesses and establishments, and acts as a local directory.
From early 2025 The Link adopted a slightly revised format, but is still recyclable! [While the laminated cover itself is not recycled back into paper fibres, the magazine can still be processed through the standard paper recycling system. Recycling plants effectively separate the paper fibres from non-paper elements like the laminate, glue, and ink during processing. These separated non-paper elements are not sent to landfill but are directed to a waste-to-energy process, where they are incinerated to generate power. The recovered paper fibres are successfully de-inked and recycled into new paper-based products. Therefore, the laminate and other non-paper components are managed responsibly through energy recovery, and the paper portion is recycled.]
The advertising rates are very reasonable, and there are over 400 copies printed every month. To find out how to advertise in The Link, click on the button below:
