Rode Fun Run – Sunday 7th July 2013
You’ve been inspired by the Olympics so here’s your chance to do your own Jessica or Mo (at your own pace, of course!) on a well-trodden and beautiful path around the charming village of Rode and, by doing so, raise money for community facilities.
• 5km run/jog/walk
• Start/finish at Rode Playing Field (Orneage Close, BA11 6QB)
• Start time 11.30am
• Registration is open for collection of numbers and on-the-day entries at the Scout Hut, Rode Playing Field from 10-11am
• Multi-terrain course: road, tracks, fields, cobbles, steps and gates
• No dogs, prams or pushchairs
• Medals and goody bags for all finishers
• Trophies and prizes for category winners (M&F); age 9-11, 12-15, 16-39, 40+
• Spot prizes for enthusiasm, fancy dress, etc!
• Juniors aged 9-10 on day of run to be accompanied by parent/guardian
• Entry (proceeds split between the Heart of Rode and Rode Memorial Hall):
Entries in advance (to 30th June)
Adults (age 16+ on day of run) £10 – Juniors (age 9-15 on day of run) £5
Entries 1st – 6th July & on the day
Adults (age 16+ on day of run) £12 – Juniors (age 9-15 on day of run) £7
• No sponsorship needed
• Kilometre markers
• Delicious refreshments available from the Pavilion
• Swing-balls available on the playing field for children
• Changing facilities, toilets and showers (limited)
• Some parking at Playing Field, more in field at top of Church Lane
