This Indenture made the Twenty fourth day of March in the seventeenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy seven Between Sarah Stevens of Road in the County of Somerset Widow and Relict of William Stevens late of the same place Innholder deceased (which said Sarah Stevens was formerly Sarah Morgan the Daughter of Robert Morgan of Norton Saint Philips in the said County of Somerset) William Stevens also of the same place Clothworker (only Son and heir at law of the said William Stevens deceased by the said Sarah Stevens) Frances Stevens of Road aforesaid Spinster and Ann Stevens of Frome in the County of Somerset Spinster (the two surviving Daughters of the said William Stevens the Father by the said Sarah Stevens) of the one part and John Wheeler of Road aforesaid Millwright and Carpenter and William Collier of the same place Tallow Chandler of the other part Witnesseth that the said Sarah Stevens William Stevens party hereto Frances Stevens and Ann Stevens in Consideration of the Sum of Five shillings of Lawfull Money of Great Britain to them in hand paid by the said John Wheeler and William Collier at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents (the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged) And for other good Causes and Considerations They the said Sarah Stevens William Stevens party hereto Frances Stevens and Ann Stevens have and each and every of them hath bargained and Sold and by these Presents Do and each and every of them Doth bargain and sell unto the said John Wheeler and William Collier their Executors Administrators and Assigns All that Messuage Tenement or Dwellinghouse situate and being in Road aforesaid wherein William Stevens the Grandfather of the said William Stevens party hereto lived being a publick Inn and then called or known by the name or sign of the New Inn but now called or known by the name or sign of the White Hart and in the Occupation of William George as Tenant thereof And also all that Malthouse erected and built in the Backside of the said Inn and the Stables and other the Outhouses and Buildings Yard Backside Garden and Orchard thereunto adjoining and belonging And also all the ways paths passages waters watercourses easements profits Commons Common of Pasture advantages emoluments hereditaments rights members and Appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or appertaining or therewith held and enjoyed or deemed or taken as parts parcels or members thereof And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits of the same Premisses and every part and parcel thereof To have and To hold the said Messuage Tenement or Dwellinghouse Malthouse Garden Orchard and all and singular other the lands hereditaments and Premisses herein before bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be sold and every Part and Parcel thereof with their and every of their Appurtenances unto the said John Wheeler and William Collier their Executors Administrators and Assigns from the day next before the day of the date of these presents for and during and unto the full End and Term of one whole year from thence next ensuing and fully to be compleat and ended Yielding and paying therefore unto the said Sarah Stevens William Stevens party hereto Frances Stevens and Ann Stevens their Heirs and Assigns the yearly Rent of one Pepper Corn at the expiration of the said term if the same shall be lawfully demanded To the intent and Purpose that by virtue of these Presents and by force of the Statute made for transferring uses into Possession the said John Wheeler and William Collier may be in the actual Possession of all and singular the said Premisses and be thereby Enabled to accept and take a Grant and Release of the Freehold Reversion and Inheritance of the same Premisses and of every part and parcel thereof with the Appurtenances to them the said John Wheeler and William Collier their Heirs To the uses and upon the Trusts thereof to be declared by an Indenture of Release intended to bear date the day next after the day of the date of these presents In Witness whereof the said Parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably Sett their Hands and Seals the day and year first above written
